Sometimes there is just nothing to talk about, nothing to blog about.  Sometimes we just want silence.
As I try to come up with ideas to put into a cohesive blog, I realize I have no shortage of ideas or things to talk about, rather  I just don't feel like talking or sharing my thoughts.  Remember when you got home from school and all you wanted was to just get inside and get a drink, a snack, or use the bathroom.  What usually happened?  Mom or Dad would say," How was school today?" or "What did you do in school today?"  Usually the response was "nothing."  No it never meant that you did nothing all day, rather you just wanted not to discuss it.  So today, if I may, I just want to say "Nothing."

  1. Lorraine, I can truly understand one's desire to just say nothing. I think that life gets so hectic sometimes and we have become so programmed that we cherish those quiet moments alone. I find as I get older that those days on which I have no commitments become wonderful slow paced days for me. Those are days when I can just be in my thoughts and enjoy those thoughts. I find that those are days when I can truly enjoy the nature that surrounds me and the beautiful memories that I have. Possibly you would like to discuss "the beauty of quiet at some point." 2. I totally understand how you feel! Sometimes I have no clue what to write and in turn, my posts seem to be pretty boring or short. I would just try to think about maybe a topic you're pretty passionate about and talk about it on here. However, I know that personally, I find that hard to express as well just in fear that someone will take it the wrong way, or form a judgment. So I understand that it's a bit tricky.

  3. I totally agree! I had no idea what to post today. Sometimes I feel like I want to talk and share so many things with everyone, while other days I do not feel like talking at all. School, family, and friends, can make things very hectic and sometimes all you want to do is slow down. Days like today, ones that are dark and gloomy, make me want to do nothing, say nothing, and feel nothing. I agree with Dr. Ries. Being alone with your thoughts can be a wonderful thing. It is important to just take some time to allow yourself to do nothing so you do not burn out!
